Reuse in renovation projects

Enabling reuse in renovation projects requires a structured and digital process, especially in ROT projects where information about existing building components is often missing. Traditional manual inventories are time-consuming and often lack standardization, which makes quantification, climate calculations and planning difficult. Zynka solves this by using 3D scanning and the Digital Buildings platform to collect, structure and visualize reuse data. Using point clouds and coordinate points of interest, a common database is created where everyone in the project has access to updated information directly linked to the building. The information is then transferred to the BIM model, which enables climate calculations, comparisons and sustainable decisions early in the process. The result is an efficient, visual and data-driven method that integrates reuse as a natural part of the design – ready to be used for logistics, quantity take-off and certification.
